2 ou 3 choses que je ne sais pas d’elle s’inscrit dans mon intérêt pour les histoires non officielles et les identités diasporiques, à travers le point de vue de Lila, un personnage dont la manière d’être au monde est perçue comme contraire aux valeurs de la République française, et qui est au cœur d’une controverse majeure en France depuis plus de trente ans. Ici, j’utilise le voile comme un leurre adressé au regard pour mieux l’exposer, le détourner et le reconstruire.

2 or 3 things I Don’t Know About Her is drawing on my interest in unofficial histories and diasporic identities with a story led from the point of view of Lila, a character whose stand on life is perceived as contrary to the values of the French Republic and has become the source of major controversy in France for thirty years now. Here, I use the veil to act as a spectatorial lure, in order to expose, deflect and reconstruct the gaze.
